but he does ask us to study his Word.  Nevertheless, I do have a college degree.

CARL D. HAAS is a lifelong Christian, thanks to his parents who brought him to know the Lord at an early age.  He has been happily married for over 52 years and has a wonderful daughter and son-in-law.  He is a lifelong resident of Lancaster County, PA.
 
Carl has been a member of the Church of the Brethren for 30-plus years.  He has studied the Bible and taught adult Sunday school at a local congregation for more than 30 years. 
 
In addition to teaching, Carl has served the congregation in various capacities, such as being a member of the congregation’s Witness Commission, Christian Education Commission, Spiritual Gifts Discernment Team, and church board.  Accepting the call of service, Carl represented the congregation at the Church of the Brethren district conference and served several times at the Church of the Brethren annual conference.  Carl and his wife served as deacons in their congregation for many years.

In 2010, Carl had a severe stroke and almost died.  Thanks to God, he recovered better than expected.  However, the stroke left Carl with a speech impediment that keeps him from teaching Sunday school on a regular basis.  For a couple of years, Carl felt helpless to spread the Word of God.  However, early retirement due to his stroke enabled Carl to spend much time in Bible study.  Carl now feels the Holy Spirit is leading him to spread the Word of God by writing books, using social media, and creating this website. 
If there is one overriding disciple he practices; it is to read the lines of the Bible and not between the lines.  In other words, he believes what the Bible actually states, not what others think it states.  He does not use the Bible to prove his beliefs, but rather uses the Bible to form his beliefs.  He deals not in conclusions, but the facts upon which conclusions should be based.   He finds it amazing that some Christians are so proud they can explain what Jesus never even mentioned.  As the Bible states in Pro 3:5,
" Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding"   
   This site represents Carl's personal beliefs, and is independent of the doctrine of any Christian denomination.
